阳光明媚的一天，兔八哥（梅尔·布兰科 Mel Blanc 配音）正趴在树林的中央，边吃胡萝卜边看书，他的表情惬意，逍遥自在，没有比这更棒的享受了。正在此时，他听到附近转来了哭声，兔八哥循声望去，那是一只胖乎乎的棕色兔子，对方自称是复活节的兔子，每到复活节时他就提着一篮筐的彩蛋去往千家万户。可是这次他的脚太疼了，因为无法送蛋而让他十分伤心。兔八哥见义勇为，决心帮助这只可怜的兔子。殊不知，复活节兔子根本就是假装受伤，他只想让别的兔子替他干活。不知情的兔八哥信心满满，谁知第一家的孩子就是一个极度暴力的问题儿童。 此时此刻，兔八哥却无法再打退堂鼓了……
